Between The Worlds

I was searching for some ideas for my next short film.
And I thought ok let me continue one of my short films and make a sequel to it.
And finally, I managed to gather together some story for the sequel of my Teleport short film. It’s a bit of a cliché story, but here is the whole script with explanation in italics:

Foreword
We have been told many stories in our childhood of magical worlds, fantastic creatures and heroic battles.

Some of us liked the idea of magic,
some made fun of those who believed in it,
and some tried to imitate it with what is in hand in the real world, like illusion, science and technology.

Thus some of us became writers, scientists, film makers in order to breath life to our dreams.

And, there came to exist some stories which are yet to be told..

This is one of them..

Scene 1 – A Short Film
We see a woman(let’s call herMiss C) watching the short film of a man(Mr J).
In this video Mr J talks to the camera saying:
“Ladies and gentleman, tonight we will do an experiment, we will try to teleport in to the world of warcraft. Ok, let’s see if this works. 1…2…3…”
And snaps his fingers and then we see him in a tavern in Ironforge and there’s a night elf woman sitting next to him(Tiw), she claps her hands.
And Mr J says:
“Wow, it worked.”

Scene 2 – Killing monsters in WOW
Then we see Mr J and Tiw killing creatures in WoW..
Mr J is about to throw up because he is not used to killing in real life.
The nightelf asks to Mr J:
“are you ok, shall we take a break?”
Mr J nods saying:
“Yes, yes please, let’s take a break”

Scene 3 – Walking & talking in WOW
And then we see Mr J and the night elf woman walking around an Elvish town (Ashenvale).

The nightelf woman picks a flower from the ground and gives it to Mr J and asks with a shy gesture:
“Why did you accept coming here?”

Mr J answers with a disgusted face:
“To experience all this, I guess.. But may be it is time for me to go back now..”

The nightelf woman says:
“You don’t have to go back.. We can become level 80 together.. We can live here forever..”

Mr J:
“I don’t want to live here forever.. I can’t stand the killing, it is endless. It is a nice and green world, and all this magic and immortality is tempting.. But I can’t.. I can’t live in this world.. And also.. I have someone I care about back in my own world..”

The nightelf woman says:
“Oh.. I did not know..” (her voice dies around the end of the sentence)

At the same time we see Miss C going to bed.

Mr J says:
“You are my friend Tiw, I am happy to have met you in person.. I will see you again.” (Tiw = the name of the nightelf)..

The nightelf woman says silently:
“may be…”
and she adds with a voice almost impossible to hear:
“not..”

Some pause before the other scene..

Scene 4 – Going back
Tiw says:
“I will tell my friends to open the doors
between the worlds for you.
You should make it quick; otherwise other humans
can also make use of the open doors.
And you know how to..”

Mr J interrupts her speech saying:
“I know I know,
I will think about my world and snap my fingers
like I did while coming here. And I will do this at
the very same spot I first appeared in this world.
Otherwise I will end up somewhere else.”

He thanks her:
“Thank you Tiw..”

They bow before each other.
While the woman says farewell in Elvish, she casts a spell on Mr J in order to send him back to Ironforge, the place where he will teleport to his own world from..

Scene 5 – Miss Cs dream
We see miss C reading a romantic fantasy book called “Stardust” in her bed and turns of the light and falls a sleep.

In her dream she sees the same night elf woman(Tiw) going to the Temple of the Moon and she walks up the stairs to talk with the High Priestess of Elune named Tyrande. She sees her confess, and walks to the edge and scream opening his arms to both sides (at the same time we see Mr J in Ironforge snapping his fingers) and the night elf jumps from the high place. (We hear some holy music at the background of this part because the dream is in a temple and also the radio starts up in the morning to wake Miss C up)

Scene 6 – Waking up
And then Miss C wakes up and walks in the house.
She sees Mr J in the living room, sitting and says with a relief:
“Oh, you are back.. I saw really bad dreams.. I thought you would never come back.”
And she jumps at him to hug.

Mr. J asks while patting her hair:
“Back from where?”

Miss C says looking up to his face:
“Back from where you teleported, the World of Warcraft”

Mr J teasingly:
“What.. Teleporting? I guess you have been watching that short video I made again. It makes you dream strange things.. I was at work, overtiming to finish the film.”

Miss C says thoughtfully:
“Oh.. so..”

Mr J looks at his pocket, and there’s that little flower Tiw gave him.

He places the flower between Miss C’s hair and ear, saying:
“Here, I picked some small flower for my girl on my way back”

Then we zoom in his face thinking about the moment Tiw gave him the flower, he then remembers that it was the same flower.

And he asks wondering:
“So, what did you see in your dream?”

And Miss C thinks some time and answers:
“I don’t remember..”
